Sessions are performed by experienced therapists and permanently reduce hair growth by 80% to 90%. New clients require a consultation and patch test at least 24 hours before treatment. Sessions typically take 5 to 60 minutes depending on the treatment area, with full body treatments taking 1 to 2 hours. Most people are advised to have 8 to 10 sessions, with 10 to 12 typically recommended for the face. Before treatment, avoid waxing, tweezing or threading for 4 weeks, direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 2 weeks, and fake tans, spray tans, chemical peels and laser resurfacing for 2 weeks. Shave the treatment area 12 to 24 hours beforehand.
