Details.
Cosmetic surgery that minimizes the length of the labia minora or outer portion of the female genitalia. The procedure may help address long, hanging, extruding or asymmetrical labia and vaginal or labial discomfort. It uses general anesthesia or intravenous sedation, with incisions on either side of the labia, removal of excess tissue, and ultra-fine sutures. A bandage is applied after the procedure to help minimize swelling and bruising. Normal activities, including sexual intercourse, may typically resume within two to three weeks.
