Details.
In vitro fertilisation involves combining eggs and sperm in a laboratory dish, allowing fertilisation to occur naturally. Treatment includes ovarian stimulation, egg collection under sedation, embryo development, embryo transfer and a pregnancy test. A fertility assessment, including hormone testing, pelvic ultrasound, semen analysis, infection screening and, where appropriate, fallopian tube assessment, is carried out before treatment. Suitable for fertility concerns including blocked or damaged fallopian tubes, ovulation problems, male factor infertility, endometriosis, unexplained infertility, or the use of frozen eggs, sperm or embryos.
