Details.
A less invasive fertility treatment that introduces partner or donor sperm directly into the uterus. The process may include an initial consultation and fertility assessment, ovulation coordination through natural-cycle monitoring or hormone injections, semen sample washing and preparation or donor sperm thawing, insemination using a catheter, and a pregnancy blood test around two weeks later. IUI may suit people with unexplained fertility problems, mild sperm abnormalities, cervical factors, or irregular ovulation. A valid referral from a GP or other medical specialist is required.
