Details.
Intravenous drip infusion administered at the clinic over approximately 1 hour. The treatment may be provided alongside an IVF protocol or during a natural cycle. The first infusion is administered a few days before ovulation or egg collection, the second after a positive pregnancy test, and the third after viable pregnancy has been confirmed by ultrasound at 6 to 7 weeks of gestation. Further immune system assessment is provided 2 weeks later. Treatment is prescribed off-label and the available evidence of efficacy in IVF is not conclusive. Intralipid contains soya oil and egg yolk and should not be used by people allergic to either ingredient.
