A comprehensive first dental visit for new patients, including a personal consultation and medical history, examination of the teeth, gums, jaw joints, chewing muscles and oral mucosa, periodontal screening, digital diagnostics with panoramic or bitewing X-rays when needed, intraoral camera images, findings discussion, personal advice and, where indicated, a written treatment and cost plan. The examination is painless and does not involve drilling. Patients with dental anxiety are welcome and can set the pace of the appointment. Bring your insurance card or identification, relevant medical and dental records, X-rays, dental appliances, medication and allergy passes, and referral documents where applicable. Statutory health insurance generally covers the examination once per year. X-rays, when required, are charged separately at approximately 150 to 200 EUR.
