Uses a small, narrow telescope to visualize the inside of the uterine cavity without incisions. It may be used to evaluate abnormal uterine bleeding, pain, fibroids, polyps, intrauterine scar tissue, and other structural abnormalities, and specialized hysteroscopes may allow removal of fibroids, polyps, or scar tissue.
