Pre-visit planning, resources, and day-of support for patients with autism and their families during medical appointments, procedures, emergency room visits, and inpatient stays. Supports patients who are fearful or anxious of the clinical environment or procedures, have communication limitations, sensory sensitivities, or require additional behavioral support. Consultations can be requested by Boston Medical Center clinicians or staff, or by families in advance of a scheduled appointment or admission.
