Continuous ECG recording over a 24 hour period to help your doctor compare recorded data with symptoms such as dizziness and palpitations. The monitor uses five cables attached to electrode patches applied to the chest and is carried in a holder around the neck or waist. Wear loose fitting clothes, continue regular daily activities, and do not shower while fitted with the monitor. Record the time and details of any symptoms so your doctor can correlate them with the recorded data. The initial appointment to apply the monitor takes approximately 30 minutes, followed by a 10 minute appointment 24 hours later for removal.
