Continuous ECG recording over a 24 hour period to help your doctor compare recorded data with symptoms such as dizziness and palpitations. The monitor is fitted with electrode patches and carried around the neck or waist. Continue regular daily activities, but do not shower while fitted with the monitor. Wear loose fitting clothes and record the time, symptoms and activity if symptoms occur. The initial appointment to apply the monitor takes approximately 30 minutes, followed by a return appointment 24 hours later for removal, which takes approximately 10 minutes.
