Free, confidential legal advice and information for members of the public who are not eligible for legal aid and cannot afford to pay. Advice is available, subject to capacity, on private family law, employment disputes, housing disrepair and social housing allocations for council or housing association tenants, general civil litigation, initial immigration advice, small business issues, personal injury claims for claimants, and general signposting and referrals. The service does not undertake casework, provide court representation, take urgent or overly complex cases, or advise current staff and students.
