Details.
A full body examination for early detection of melanoma and other skin cancers. Your doctor will ask about your medical history, medications, family history of skin cancer, and any new, changing, or symptomatic spots. For the examination, you will be asked to undress behind a curtain while keeping your underwear on. Makeup, lipstick, and nail polish should be avoided. A dermatoscope may be used, and images of suspicious areas may be taken for monitoring and follow-up. Suspicious lesions may require a biopsy under local anaesthetic or a follow-up appointment.
