A non-surgical, in-office procedure for pain conditions including neck pain, lower back pain, upper back pain, leg pain, arm pain, herniated discs, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, and sciatica. Intravenous sedation may be administered, and the treatment area is numbed with a local anesthetic. Using X-ray guidance, a physician injects an anesthetic and cortisone steroid solution into the epidural space. Patients are taken to a recovery room and discharged shortly afterward. Some patients benefit from one injection, while more severe conditions may require additional injections.
