Details.
A non-surgical office procedure for pain conditions including neck pain, lower back pain, upper back pain, leg pain, arm pain, herniated discs, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, and sciatica. Intravenous sedation may be administered, and the skin and tissue are numbed with a local anesthetic. Using X-ray guidance, a physician guides a needle into the epidural space and injects anesthetic and cortisone steroid solution. The patient is monitored in an office recovery room and discharged shortly afterward. Some patients benefit from one injection, while more severe conditions may require more than one.
