Endoscopic Spinal Surgery

at Dr Richard Parkinson · Sydney

Details.

An ultra-minimally invasive surgical technique used to treat various spinal conditions, including herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, spinal infections, and some spinal tumours. The procedure uses a high-definition endoscope inserted through small incisions, usually less than 1 cm, to access and operate on the spine. It may involve removing herniated disc material or decompressing nerve roots. Potential benefits include less tissue damage, reduced post-operative pain, shorter hospital stays and faster recovery. Suitability is determined after a thorough evaluation by a neurosurgeon.
