Details.
Root canal treatment to preserve teeth that would otherwise be extracted. The procedure eliminates infection affecting the tooth nerves, removes infected nerves, disinfects and cleans the inside of the tooth, then fills and seals it with gutta-percha. The tooth is subsequently restored with a crown or permanent filling for protection. Signs that may require treatment include pain, prolonged sensitivity to hot or cold, tenderness when chewing, swelling and tooth discolouration. Treatment uses the ProTaper Next and WaveOne rotary systems.
