Endodontic Re-Treatment

at Adam Scot Harwood · New York

Details.

A procedure for a previously treated tooth that has not healed properly or has become infected again. The tooth is reopened, filling materials are removed, the interior is examined for untreated canals or infection, and the canals are cleaned, shaped, and refilled. The opening is sealed with a temporary filling, followed by placement of a new crown or other restoration after healing. Endodontic surgery or extraction may be recommended if re-treatment is not possible.
