The Australian organisation must be located in a regional area, obtain sponsorship approval and nominate the candidate after efforts to find a local worker are exhausted. Applicants must have a positive skills assessment and at least 3 years of experience at the required skill level. After living and working in a regional area under the Subclass 494 program for at least 3 years, the visa holder may apply for permanent Subclass 191.
