Details.
Preserves embryos for future use following an IVF cycle or as a proactive fertility preservation step. The process includes ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, fertilisation with sperm, embryo development, vitrification and storage in liquid nitrogen, followed by frozen embryo transfer when required. Suitable for couples with remaining embryos after IVF, couples preserving fertility before medical treatment, and patients undergoing preimplantation genetic testing. Ovarian stimulation takes around 10 to 14 days, egg retrieval typically takes less than 30 minutes, and frozen embryo transfer does not require anaesthesia.
