Includes regular contact with the worker, line manager, treating health professional and other relevant stakeholders; interviews, screening and assessment to identify return to work capacity, risks, barriers, pre-injury duties and suitable duties; development and distribution of an initial return to work plan with recommended progression to pre-injury duties; employer education and documentation about obligations and ongoing return to work management; case conferences with treating health professionals to obtain an upgrade in capacity if required; and a report with discussion with the employer and referrer about ongoing assistance requirements.
