Designed for people with dysarthria to improve speech intelligibility during conversation using compensatory strategies such as diaphragmatic breathing, improved breath support, reduced speaking rate, pacing, exaggerated articulation, increased volume, and appropriate prosody or intonation. Participants also learn strategies and tools to supplement speech, including gesturing, pointing, writing, drawing, alphabet boards, and low or high-tech AAC systems.
