A technique using small, single-filament needles placed into areas of muscle tightness or pain. It stimulates the muscle, improves blood flow and creates a local muscle contraction. Used to treat trigger points and in conjunction with other osteopathic techniques for a range of muscular conditions. After examination and assessment, the osteopath will advise whether needle treatment is suitable.
