Dermaplaning uses a sterile, surgical-grade scalpel to remove dead skin cells and fine vellus hair, helping reveal a smoother, brighter complexion and improve skincare product absorption. It may suit a wide range of skin types, but may not be suitable for active acne or sensitive skin. Before treatment, cleanse your face, avoid harsh exfoliants and scrubs in the preceding days, and stay hydrated. After treatment, use a gentle oil-free moisturizer and broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, and avoid harsh products, exfoliants, and makeup for at least 24 hours.
