Dermapen 4 is an adjustable microneedling treatment that creates controlled microchannels in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production. It is suitable for uneven skin texture, enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, dullness and uneven tone. Treatment usually takes 30 to 45 minutes. Most patients experience mild redness, warmth or swelling, which typically settles within 12 to 48 hours. A consultation is required to assess suitability. Avoid excessive sun exposure for 1 to 2 weeks before treatment, and avoid strong exfoliants and retinoids for 5 to 7 days beforehand. After treatment, avoid direct sun, strenuous exercise, saunas and hot baths for 24 to 48 hours, avoid retinoids and acids for several days, moisturise the treated area and avoid makeup for at least 24 hours.
