Non-permanent hyaluronic acid fillers, which may contain a numbing medication, are administered to enhance areas requiring added volume, redefine facial contours and add definition. Areas that can be addressed include the cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, chin and jaw. Treatment is for patients aged 18 and over and begins with a bespoke consultation and assessment. Attend with a clean, makeup-free face. Avoid alcohol and anti-inflammatory medication if possible on the day before treatment. After treatment, avoid vigorous activities, touching your face, alcohol and direct sun exposure for 24 to 48 hours. Most patients require no downtime and can return to work and normal activities the same day. Minimal pain is expected, and topical local anaesthetic cream may sometimes be needed.
