A laboratory-made restoration that fits inside the tooth like a conventional filling. The procedure usually requires an initial radiograph and examination, followed by two appointments two weeks apart. At the first appointment, old filling material is removed, the tooth is reshaped, a dental scan is taken and a temporary filling is provided. At the second appointment, the temporary restoration is removed and the inlay is bonded in place. The cost depends on the complexity and material chosen.
