A longer lasting alternative to dentures and other restorative treatments for replacing missing teeth. Implants can replace a single lost tooth with a crown, multiple missing teeth with a dental bridge, or a whole set of teeth by providing a stable base for dentures. Treatment includes an assessment of how your teeth fit together, your oral health and jaw bone density, implant placement using a minor surgical procedure, a healing period while the titanium posts bond with the bone, and fitting of replacement teeth once the implants have taken root. Additional bone grafting procedures may be needed if there is insufficient bone. Aftercare includes regular brushing, interdental cleaning and check-ups.
