Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty is a partial thickness graft suitable for conditions affecting the front layer and central layer of the cornea. It offers reduced rejection and graft failure compared with a penetrating graft, although the technique is technically challenging. Vision recovery for DALK is prolonged, typically at least 12 months and usually 18 to 24 months.
