Details.
Customised shoe inserts prescribed and designed to fit the individual requirements of the feet. The service involves a foot analysis, three-dimensional impressions or imaging of the feet, prescription and design of the device, and creation of orthotics to provide support, cushioning, alignment, pressure redistribution and improved foot and lower limb function. Used for conditions including flat feet, bunions, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, running pain, knee pain, hip pain, lower back pain, pressure sores, ulcers, wounds, corns and calluses. A biomechanical assessment with a podiatrist is required to determine whether orthotics are appropriate. Orthotics may require a break-in period, with gradual use recommended during the first few days.
