A custom made oral device, such as a Mandibular Advancement Device or Somnomed appliance, worn during sleep to help hold the jaw and tongue in a more favourable position, prevent airway collapse and make breathing easier. The appliance is personally fitted and may also help prevent teeth grinding at night.
