CT Scan

at Capital Radiology Dandenong · Melbourne

Details.

A computed tomography scan uses X-rays to produce detailed cross-sectional images of organs, bones and other tissues. The examination is conducted using a multi-slice CT scanner and may involve a contrast injection to improve image clarity. It is generally painless, typically takes 5 to 15 minutes, and requires minimal preparation. Comfortable clothing is recommended, and metal items such as glasses, jewellery and dentures may need to be removed. Patients should inform reception if they are pregnant, have diabetes or have allergies. Bring a referral form, Medicare card, pension or concession card, prior imaging, and any WorkCover or motor vehicle accident claim details.
