Multidisciplinary assessment and short-term treatment in the person's home as an alternative to hospital for people experiencing an acute mental health crisis or relapse of an existing mental illness. The service can start medications as required and provide support, crisis counselling and psychoeducation to consumers and their families. Available to people aged 16 to 64 living in Maroondah, Knox, Yarra Ranges, Whitehorse East or Nunawading East. Referrals are available through self-referral, families, carers, GPs, private psychiatrists, counsellors and other agencies.
