Ultrasound-guided corticosteroid injection for inflammatory foot and ankle pain and injuries. May help reduce swelling, stiffness and pain, and is used for conditions including plantar fasciitis, Morton's neuroma, arthritis, sesamoiditis, synovitis, capsulitis, bursitis, plantar plate tears, sinus tarsi syndrome, gout, Achilles tendinopathy, tarsal tunnel syndrome and posterior tibial tendonitis. Suitable when pain has not responded well to conservative management and rehabilitation. The podiatrist will discuss the treatment plan, and one or multiple injections may be recommended.
