Details.
A one-time keratoconus treatment performed under topical anaesthetic. The outer corneal layer is gently removed, riboflavin eye drops are applied for about 30 minutes, and the cornea is exposed to UVA light for another 30 minutes. After treatment, a bandage contact lens is placed over the eye, antibiotic eye drops are provided, and a protective shield is worn overnight. Suitable for early to moderate stages of keratoconus. Mild discomfort may occur for 1 to 2 days, and most people return to normal activities in about a week.
