Details.
A one-time treatment for early to moderate keratoconus. Riboflavin eye drops are applied to the cornea, followed by controlled UVA light exposure to strengthen and stabilise the cornea and help prevent further thinning or bulging. The procedure is performed under topical anaesthetic. After treatment, a bandage contact lens, antibiotic eye drops and an overnight protective shield are provided. Mild discomfort may last 1 to 2 days, with return to normal activities in about a week.
