An all-risk insurance policy designed to protect a contract during construction. Cover includes Material Damage and Liability, and may be arranged for a single project or annually. The policy can cover principals, builders, owner builders, developers, contractors, joint ventures, private public programs and other parties with an interest in the project. Cover may include physical loss or damage to contract works, third party bodily injury and property damage, with negotiable extensions including Delay in Start-Up, Liquidated Damages, Advanced Consequential Loss, Advanced Loss of Profits, Difference in Conditions, Excess Buy-Down and Design Exclusion Drop Down. A Contract Works policy can also include Public Liability Insurance, Sub-Contractor Liability, Products Liability and Cross Liability.
