A minimally invasive cosmetic dental treatment using tooth-coloured composite resin applied directly to one or more teeth. The resin is shaped, sculpted, cured and polished to improve tooth size, shape, colour and appearance. Little to no enamel removal is required in most cases, making it reversible or adjustable. Suitable for chipped or cracked teeth, gaps, discolouration, worn or short teeth, mildly misshapen teeth, slightly crooked or uneven teeth, exposed tooth roots and uneven smile lines. Treatment is generally pain-free and usually does not require anaesthetic. Brush with non-abrasive toothpaste, floss daily, avoid biting hard foods directly with bonded teeth, reduce staining beverages, attend six-monthly check-ups and hygiene appointments, and consider a night guard if you clench or grind.
