Heart team consultation with a cardiologist, cardiothoracic surgeon, and cardiac interventionalist to determine the best treatment course for complex coronary cases. The laboratory treats complex coronary lesions including bifurcation, calcified, left main, chronic total occlusion, and vein graft lesions, as well as patients with low ejection fraction. Adjunct techniques may include atherectomy, thrombectomy, distal protection devices, and left ventricular assist devices such as IABP, Impella, or ECMO.
