Details.
Fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing targets superficial and deeper layers of the skin by creating microscopic treatment zones, stimulating natural collagen production and triggering a healing process. It can target wrinkles, scars, sun damage and uneven texture, and is typically used on the face and neck. A topical anaesthetic is applied to minimise discomfort. Mild redness, swelling or flaking can occur for a few days to a week, makeup should be avoided for several days, and full healing generally occurs within six weeks. Most patients benefit from 2 to 3 sessions spaced about a month apart, subject to expert assessment.
