A psychology counselling session. Medicare rebates may apply with a referral from a General Practitioner or Psychiatrist. A Mental Health Care Plan allows up to 10 Medicare rebated counselling sessions per calendar year. Private health insurance may cover some fees but cannot be used with Medicare rebates. Reduced rates or bulk billing may apply in cases of financial hardship with prior agreement.
