Clinical Neuropsychological Assessment

at Cognitive Care · Sydney

Details.

A comprehensive evaluation of cognitive abilities, including speed of information processing, attention, language, visuospatial skills, learning and memory, and executive functions. Assessments support the diagnosis and management of geriatric, neurological, psychiatric, neurodevelopmental and general medical conditions, and can inform suitability to drive or return to work or study. The appointment broadly involves two to four hours of face-to-face assessment, including a clinical interview and standardised pen-and-paper and computerised tests. Assessments can be divided into separate sessions if necessary. A follow-up appointment typically takes one hour and provides feedback and individually tailored recommendations, delivered face-to-face or via telehealth. Referrals from a GP or specialist are preferable but not necessary, and individuals can self-refer. Assessment is not provided for children.
