Basic dental treatment for eligible 2 to 17 year olds under the Commonwealth Child Dental Benefits Schedule. Treatments may include check-ups, fissure sealants, cleaning, fillings, X-rays, extractions and root canals. Orthodontic and cosmetic dental work, and services provided in a hospital operating theatre, are excluded. Public dental clinics bulk bill eligible treatments with no out-of-pocket costs.
