Details.
Counseling, coaching, or psychotherapy for children and families addressing emotional or behavioral disorders, anxiety, depression, hyperactivity, trauma, family conflict, relationship concerns, and other mental health needs. Services may include individual sessions, joint child and parent sessions, sibling and family involvement, diagnostics, treatment, play therapy, and storytelling. Children under about 12 generally require parental involvement, and parents may meet with the counselor before therapy begins. Sessions focus on goals such as addressing emotional issues, improving self-esteem, achieving developmental goals, accepting strengths and limitations, and changing negative behaviors.
