A screening blood test for Trisomy 21 and Trisomy 18 and a few other chromosomal abnormalities. It detects 99% of babies with Down syndrome. If requested, the test can also tell you the sex of the baby. A positive screening result does not mean the baby has a chromosomal abnormality.
