Removal of the clouded natural lens and replacement with an artificial intraocular lens. Typically performed as an outpatient procedure, with patients able to go home the same day. Mild discomfort and blurry vision may occur for a few days after surgery. Most patients resume normal activities within one or two weeks, with vision gradually improving over the following weeks.
