A personalised cancer treatment that modifies your own T cells to recognise and destroy multiple myeloma cells. It is primarily offered when multiple myeloma has returned or has not responded to other treatments. The service includes a consultation with an experienced CAR-T specialist, T-cell collection, custom-cell manufacturing, conditioning chemotherapy, a single intravenous Carvykti infusion taking approximately 30 to 60 minutes, inpatient monitoring for approximately 2 to 3 weeks and follow-up monitoring. The production and treatment process usually takes approximately 2 to 3 months, with the overall process taking at least eight weeks. After discharge, patients are asked to stay within one hour of The London Clinic for at least one month.
