Implantation of a Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy device with three leads, including a left ventricular lead that sends electrical signals to the left and right ventricles to help them contract at the same time and improve heart pumping efficiency. The procedure involves local anaesthetic or sedation, lead insertion and testing, connecting and programming the device, and hospital monitoring. Surgery usually takes 2 to 4 hours, with hospitalization varying from 1 to 2 days.
