Depending on the development and planning authority, the assessment may include site-specific screening and scoping, geological and hydrological review, flood risk assessment, site inspection, review of adjacent buildings and underground services, ground investigation using boreholes or trial pits, soil sampling, groundwater or gas monitoring, CIRIA ground movement calculations using Burland’s scale of damage, structural and construction method statements, temporary and permanent excavation support design, construction monitoring design, and additional flood risk, geology, slope stability, hydrology, hydrogeology or construction management reports where required.
