A cosmetic operation to remove excess loose skin from the lower part of the upper arms, which may result from weight loss or ageing. The procedure takes place under general anaesthetic and may be combined with liposculpture to remove subskin fat tissue. The dressing and stitches are removed after two weeks. Arms need to rest for about four weeks, and scars may remain visible and should be protected from the sun for up to a year.
