Second trimester fetal ultrasound usually performed between weeks 18 and 22. The baby is measured from head to bottom, around the tummy and head, and the technician examines the heart's four chambers, kidneys, bladder, stomach, brain, spine and sex organs. The baby's sex may also be learned during this ultrasound if requested.
